Season 1

Viridian Forest

Unlock: Available from the start

The first Classic region (three zones and a shrine)
Survival hazards: mud puddles (heavy slow) and poison brambles

Second region
Survival hazards: quicksand that drags you inward and burning ground

Season 2

Storm Coast

Unlock: Complete Rocky Desert · Shrine: Zapdos (Thunder Cape Shrine)

A tide floods the beaches roughly every 90 s and leaves pearls when it recedes
Waterspouts pull up wild Pokémon — and you — then slam you down onto the horde
Zapdos: lure its bolts into lightning rods; three charges knock it down and leave it exposed

Guardians

Kingler — Clamp Guard — attack it from behind
Electrode — Minefield — walk it into its own mines
Gyarados — Hyper Beam leaves it recharging and taking extra damage
Tentacruel — Tentacle Forest — break the tentacles
Starmie — Rapid Spin pinball — strike when it is dizzy
Electabuzz — Thunder Cage — find the gap

Season 2

Celestial Glacier

Unlock: Complete Storm Coast · Shrine: Articuno (Sky Lake Shrine)

Frozen lakes you slide across; momentum builds as you push one way
Blizzards push you around — standing in the open builds Frost
Articuno: hide behind a pillar so its bouncing Ice Beam freezes itself; watch for Sheer Cold sweeping sectors

Guardians

Dewgong — Ice Sled
Hypno — Hypnotic Pendulum
Cloyster — Shell — barely damaged when closed, nearly double damage when open
Jynx — Lovely Kiss & Sing — infatuation inverts your controls
Lapras — Ice floes — take cover behind its ice
Alakazam — Future Sight — your own trail detonates

Season 2 altars on every map

Fossil Ruins: trade max HP for the run for a fossil — Helix (−15%: pick from 2 Epic+ items), Dome (−20%: a ×1.5 Legendary blessing) or Old Amber (−25%: Aerodactyl joins).
Rhydon's Roar: buff the guardian up to 3× for extra Great Balls.
Porygon Altar: three stat trades where one stat rises and another falls by half as much.
Bill's Machine: one per map, fuses two max-level moves.

Survival extras

Survival maps include 2 Ditto and 1 Hypno, respawning altars and objects, comet shards about every 2 minutes and a migration portal every 11 minutes that moves you to a fresh map.
