The Lab: Permanent Upgrades in PokéBonk

Updated

Glowing potion bottles and a laboratory machine with coloured upgrade slots
TL;DR · Buy cheap stat levels (damage, HP) first, then a vitamin slot, then the 4th move slot. Season 2 made every upgrade 15% cheaper and removed item prerequisites.

A suggested spending order (our recommendation)

  1. A few levels of Damage and Max HP — cheap and always useful.
  2. Vitamin slot — more stat cards working for you.
  3. 4th move slot — opens up fusion plans without giving up coverage.
  4. Refresh / Banish levels — more control over level-up rolls.
  5. Season 2 percentage upgrades (Precision, Swiftness, Expansion, Harmony) and Big Bag.
  6. Alpha slot and Fourth option once the basics are covered.

Archive and item pool

Items must be unlocked into your pool before Poké Balls and Meowth can offer them. Unlocking everything is not required — a smaller pool means you see your favourites more often. The Archive (20 slots in Season 2) hides items from the pool without losing them.

Frequently asked questions

How much is the 4th move slot?

It was observed at 1,500 Stardust in v0.7.2; Season 2 cut all upgrade prices by 15%.

Do I have to unlock items in order?

No. Since Season 2 every locked item can be bought from the start in any order.
