PokéBonk Daily Mutation Guide
PokéBonk Daily Mutation Guide
TL;DR · Daily Mutation is a solo Classic run with one twist that everyone shares for the day: same map, same world seed, same mutation. It resets at 00:00 UTC. Retry as often as you like; only your best run counts. Each day you can earn up to 300 Stardust, and every mutation has a title, frame and profile background to keep.

Overview

Version / as-of: client 0.8.76 · 2026-10-29. Daily Mutation arrived in 0.8.61 (27 Oct 2026).

What is the Daily Mutation?

Open it from the first row of the main menu, next to Survival. Each day you get:

  • one mutation (a rule change) with its own fixed difficulty;
  • one map from the four Season 2 regions, and the same world seed for every player;
  • any Pokémon from your League as your starter.

The Bag is not allowed, and the Daily Mutation can't be played in co-op. You need an account to appear on its leaderboard. Since 0.8.63 you can Save and quit a mutation run from the pause menu and continue it later, except during a boss or an event.

MutationDifficultyRules
MetronomeNightmareEvery 30 s one of your moves becomes a random move of the same level, taken from the whole League's kits. Your first move and Bill's fusions never change.
Dynamax WildsHardWild Pokémon are 2× size and 2× HP, hit 50% harder and move 15% slower. Bosses are unchanged.
Candy FeverHard2× experience and PokéDollars, but wild Pokémon gain HP and damage over time 60% faster.
CrystalNormalYour max HP drops to ¼, and all your damage is doubled. (The English patch note calls it "Glass".)

Quick tips by mutation (our advice, not official):

  • Metronome: build around your first move and fusions, because those are the only parts that stay fixed. 0.8.62 fixed moves getting stuck after turning into a beam.
  • Dynamax Wilds: the targets are bigger and slower, so area damage and kiting pay off. Don't trade hits with them.
  • Candy Fever: level fast early. The danger ramps later, so spend the extra PokéDollars at once.
  • Crystal: treat every hit as dangerous. Range and movement matter more than raw HP.

Daily Mutation rotation and reset

The day switches at 00:00 UTC (08:00 in Beijing). The client splits days into blocks of four, and each block shuffles all four mutations once. A mutation can't open a block if it closed the previous one. So each mutation appears once per 4-day block and never two days in a row, though the gap between repeats can be 2–7 days. The map also rotates.

Schedule computed from the 0.8.76 client code (it matches the first day, Metronome on 27 Oct). It can change if the developer updates the code, so the in-game menu is the final word.

Daily Mutation leaderboard

Each mutation has a daily leaderboard, and you can also check yesterday's and the day before's. Runs are ranked by furthest progress first, then KOs. Since 0.8.63, runs under one minute don't appear in history or on leaderboards. Old days are not kept forever; the game says "That Daily Mutation is no longer kept."
